Type: 16-oz. can

Glass: Melvin 14-oz. Spiegelau IPA glass
Price: $4.29
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: July 15, 2022
Consumed: July 30, 2022
Misc.: Collaboration with Ventura Coast; Packaged on June 28, 2022
Went to grab a 6-pack and a few cans at Windmill Farms and came home with 29 beers, spending way too much money. Only real note on the beer was what I found on a beer store site - "West Coast IPA. ABV 6.9%. Tasting Notes: White Peach, Melon, Tutti-Frutti. Malt: 2-Row, Thomas Fawcett Spring Pale Ale, White Wheat. Hops: Talus, Azalea, Bru-1. Yeast: TTBC House Kolsch.”
Poured a medium yellow clear color with three fingers of rocky white head. Could see a few bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Almost perfect uneven spiderweb foamy lacing. Almost perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled Talus, pink grapefruit, melon, floral, sage, resin, wood, peach, herbal, tea and citrus zest. A little better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose. In order got Talus, pink grapefruit, melon, floral, sage, resin, wood, bitter citrus rind, peach, herbal, tea, citrus zest and lingering black pepper. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Smooth, slightly spicy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Liked this one. Really grew on me each sip. (Overall - 4.00)
