great to see so many breweries out there playing around with higher oat proportions in their mash, this is a nice light beer, but the flavor of the oats is very forward, and it has a great starchy creamy body as a result as well, cool beer, infinitely sessionable, well hopped, and very clean. mostly clear in color with a lasting white head on it, looks simple enough, like a pale or blonde ale, and smells fairly normal, but the flavor has this wonderful breakfasty thickness to it, dry cereal and protein and all, not like flavorless oatmeal, but with some of that raw grainy element. it makes the beer have a lot of body, a lot more than others this shade, which is cool this time of year, and the hops are big and piney without being super bitter, so there is a lot of flavor and texture to keep it interesting in a very unassuming beer. id love to know more about the proportion of oats in here, which type(s) they used, and all of that, but suffice it to say that if you dont know what oats do in a beer, this is a great example in a pale beer. great fall session.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
