I tried this beer off the tapper at the Greenville, South Carolina location as part of a four sample flight whilst on my way to The Masters Tournament. It poured a clear golden with white head that left some lace. The scent had bitter grain and grass notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with crisp malt base and subtle grain and grass presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Pours clear gold in color with half inch head. Taste is mineral, wheat and grass. Sweet, moderate carbonation, slightly bitter. Makes for an above average pils. Worth a try.

Poured from a bottle with only low to medium head. Clear golden to copper color as expected from a maltier version of a pils. I liked the malt sweetness with the hop balance as compared to a 'traditional' German styled Pilsener which this is not. Smooth feel with the bready/alcohol aroma coming through. This is a solid interpretation of the style with a bold flavor and will be a regular beer for me along with their Dunkel.

yee haw dunkel is by far their best entry. Here's another underwhelming one. This pilsner pours in appearance more like a moderate IPA with a copper color. There is ZERO head.
THe taste is similarly 'off'. Overly sweet mess of a pilsner. A lil' boozy too. Strong sweetness and a bit metallic. I'm not big on this. Malt-take-over makes this completely unbalanced and definitely out of style.A little bit of the menthol quality of the '80' too. All in all, a pilsner should be light, crisp, dry and slightly sweet... this is way off base imo... i like the fact it's a BOLD tasting beer, but calling it a pilsner is perhaps the start of the problem. Reminds me of a headless FOster's Premium ALe, a bit of a metallic chocolate and alcohol, little else. For goodness sakes back off the weird specialty malts here make a refreshing lager - this is not it.

Poured from the tap at the brewery into a pint glass. The beer is a clear golden copper color with a minimal head. The flavor is well balanced blend of hops and malt. A really good beer

A pretty solid pilsner. More on the grainy/bready side than hoppy, but it's an appealing maltiness and not too sweet.
