A modern American style that’s big, bold and balanced. Using only the finest of fine American Pacific Northwest hops (three varieties) and British malts, we’ve crafted a high gravity beer that can throw down like a session beer, verse after verse. Aggressive hop aroma and flavor gives way to a silky malt finish as you savor every sip. Go ahead, pour some out for the homies. But not too much.

I tried this beer off the tapper at the Greenville, South Carolina location as part of a four sample flight whilst on my way to The Masters Tournament. It poured a very slightly hazy golden with white head that left some lace. The scent had bitter fruit citrus notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet malt base and subtle bitter citrus fruit and pine resin presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Purchased from the brewery. 053119 date stamped on bottom rim of 16oz can.
Appearance was light copper with staunch beige frothy head.
Aroma was heavy caramel with resin and pine hop notes.
Flavor was cloying and caramelly with hefty alcohol note and mostly resin and pine hoppiness. Medium-high bitterness.
Feel is heavy and not dry, continuing the cloying lay sweet and tacky character from the flavor.
Not in line with modern DIPAs with too much caramel malt to be very drinkable.

On tap at the Greenville SC taproom as Big Hoppa DIPA.
Clear amber body with a very good white head.
Aroma: alcohol, sweet caramel and earthy/spicy hops.
Flavor: plenty of hops. Moderate bitterness for style. Alcohol is too obvious and, overall, lacking in harmony.
Medium-full body with medium-light carbonation.

Bright, fruity aroma with a deep piney body. Poured a bright golden orange. The taste was light in body yet VERY resinous....almost too resinous. Yet, the hoppiness of this DIPA helps to give a lot of extra character to this beer. The feel is light with a large early boil of bittering hops to give a very drinkable beer. All-in-all I love the beer and would gladly buy more if it were only a little cheaper.

Poured a nice gold color but very little carbonation. Even swirling the glass to regenerate a head barely brought up a few bubbles.
Smell and taste were on point. Nice piney nose and taste with decent malt characteristics and lower than normal bitterness for a DIPA.
Feel was hampered by the lack of carbonation. It felt flat.
Overall, if the carbonation would have been normal (bad bottle, I'm guessing), this would have been a solid B+ DIPA.

Poured into a snifter. Clear, burnt gold color. A vigorous pour produced a modest white head. Decent head retention. Primarily piney on the nose with a little citrus in the background. Bitter, earthy notes on the front end with an earthy, almost somewhat candied finish. Well-balanced malt backbone. Medium-bodied with a clean finish.
