The beer pours a deep, nearly opaque, brown with about two fingers worth of off white head that slowly recedes leaving behind very little lacing

The aroma is sweet and bready with a mildly roasty character, and notes of caramel and toffee. There is also just a hint of chocolate.

Like the aroma, the flavor is bready and slightly sweet. The roasty character is more muted in the flavor than in the aroma, and there is a light hint of coffee that is absent in the aroma. The caramel and chocolate mingle well and intensify as the beer warms. Medium bodied and moderately carbonated.
