As always, (a) a very cloudy body of golden straw color with a dense thin head that looks like a wit.
(s) Bring on the big herbs and the lemon zest along with hidden natural herbs thrown in the batch - wild flowers, basil.
(t) Follows aroma with more dank, bright, herbal. Always the musty overtones - like clouds.
(f) finishes dry, low carb, the weight of the double.
(o) If you like saucy, fruit laden, juicy D IPA then like its flagship 114, this fits the bill. Pleased to be 2nd reviewer.

Pours a very cloudy golden straw color with a dense egg shell colored head that settled into a chunky cap. Kinda looks like a wheat beer.
The aroma is bright and herbaceous. Crazy amounts of lemon/lime zest. Some type of floral, herbal spice that I can't put my finger on. Kind of a mix of wild flowers, sage and basil. A bit musty. The zest seems to overpower the hops unless Sorachi Ace hops were used. I like it but doesn't remind me of a DIPA.
The flavor is a bit more earthy; a touch of grass and grapefruit rind. Still lots of lemon/lime zest and strong herbal notes. A savory type of herbal flavor. The malt is big and bready, definitely double strength. Very citrusy from the zest.
Moderate feel with semi-soft carbonation. Starts off sweet then transitions into an earthy bitterness. Not overly bitter. Finishes slightly dry.
I like that this beer is different. Quite bright and summer-like. The zest is perhaps a touch too strong as it drowns out the hops. I want to rate it higher but it doesn't really remind me of the style.
