Had a can purchased at LBC Bay Bridge outpost. Can had been refrigerated at tap room but dated back to 8/23/23.
Poured a magnificent whipped cream head and rich tan orange brown body. Beauty. But quickly dissipated to no residual head and no lacing. Just a thin tan halo.
Nose was pretty much unnoticeable. Taste did show how the malty biscuit and promised chocolate. Decent malty sweetness but just a bit of dry bitterness at back of mouth.
Body was nicely smooth and fit well with classic Bavarian dunkels.
Overall a really nice shot at a Munich Dunkel. Just a few misses in an otherwise well done German brew.
