Collaboration with Wren House Brewing Company
Wildflowers aren’t the only thing blooming in Arizona. Our friendship with the Wren House Brewing crew (not to mention our frequent trips east on the 8 to stock up on their beers) meant it was about damn time to collaborate! Desert Bloom IPA is brewed with Citra, Cashmere, and Cascade hops. Just like its namesake, this beer is blossoming with a vibrant bouquet of orange & lemon aromas, soft pine notes, and hints of ripe melon & peaches. Expect a slightly cloudy veil from the AZ-grown White Sonora Wheat, along with a finish as crisp and dry as the desert air.

Went to Windmill Farms for a West Coast IPA Burgeon/North Park/Pure Project collab and came away with a handful of other beers and a 6-pack of Enegren. Poured a light amber clear color with three fingers of rocky white head. Could see lots of bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass at different speeds, kind of looking like a snow globe. World-class uneven foamy lacing. Almost perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled lemon, pine, orange, peach, caramel and grapefruit. Cashmere led the way for the mentioned hops with Citra right behind and some Cascade as well. About the same from the can. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted Cashmere, caramel, lemon candy, pine, Citra, grapefruit, peach and aspirin. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.00)
This one grew on me each sip. A nice West Coast IPA collab. (Overall - 4.00)

Pours slightly hazy peach yellow with a nice foamy two finger head. Aroma is very nice -- with lemon and, orange and floral notes, though lemon is the most dominant. Taste is pine and citrus, orange mostly. Body is on the lighter side of moderate, very hoppy and wonderfully balanced. This is a very good IPA and worthy of your time.
