Really, really red color with adequate foam in the plastic pint. On tap at Mitch's Seafood in Point Loma. The aromatics are inviting, with roast grains, raisin toast, and a nice whiff of the barnyard. Substantial mouthfeel with just enough spritz.
Pleasantly malty with a sweet tang. Just a little bitter yeasty scratch and bitterish aftertaste that goes with with the malt. Overall, this is as good as any of the Dubbels I've had in a very long time. For a new little brewery this seems like a home run.
