Looked black. Smallish tan head on pour.
Nice roast quality, not too strong on the aroma. Some hop character.
Flavor was enjoyable enough, but oatmeal was subdues, lacked any slickness or softness. I listed as an Am. Stout as it had a pretty strong hop presence with a notable grassy character and a rather prominent lingering bitterness and dryness. It wasn't excessive but noticeable and more than expected - noted as 46 ibu's as listed on chalkboard.
Moderately light. Carbonated moderately too.
Decent enough beer.
