One of my first marzens this season (I've drank mostly Festbiers here in London.) But this marzen is one of the better-Looking ones I can remember for the last few years: a pretty amber, active foam, lots of lace. Smells are mostly malt, the style's standards. Tastes are balanced; but the really good marzens finish with a drying note... and Reutberg's does not. Medium-mouthed, maybe full because of its softness.
I bought my copy at 7 Seasons Bar & Bottle Shop in London's Hoxton neighbourhood. With distribution to England, you'd think that Reutberg would have an English translation button on their website. But they do not, like too many Bavarian brewers. So for my micro-review, all I can say is that this is another Kloster Bavarian brewery at the foot of the Alps. All looks beautiful; but with three centuries of history, why not tell it in English also ?

Brick red, beige foam, ok.
Full malty smell, biscuity.
Full and sweet taste too, again malt, some caramel, less biscuity.
Not really libvely, but on the style. Honest.
