Crowler dated 3/24/19 into a plastic cup (hey, I'm on the road and that's all the motel has). Pours a hazy amber with a modest off-white head. Initial impression is quite dank, with notes of citrus, dark fruits, basil, pine resin, apple, and a hint of caramel. Mouthfeel is medium, as is carbonation. Sticky. Alcohol is well hidden. Finish is dank, resinous, and slightly bitter.
I was expecting a NEIPA from the appearance, but it's really more of an old school DIPA. And that's what the can says, so I can't fault Hidden River. Enjoyable, but not to die for.
