a really beautiful india pale lager type, assertively dry hopped and boldy flavored, but also wonderfully refreshing in the southern heat, and super drinkable for how hoppy and relatively strong it is, a really well made beer and my first from these guys, who seem to have a pretty good handle on the hoppy stuff! i really like the hop profile here, somewhat familiar but well layered. i get that fresh milled lumber thing i sometimes get from centennial, white pine sort of, but also some clean citrus too. the malt base is light and simple, pale barley and maybe just a pinch of wheat, as there is a light fluffiness to the feel here too. hop bitterness is low in the flavor but all the freshness of the nose is there, and the finish is uber quick, bone dry and snappy, which makes this feel majorly summery and refreshing to me. it has a noble hop element to it too, both dry and growing grass towards the finish with a little lemon lime flash, delicate and not overdone, really tasty. good carbonation and a fast finish from the lager yeast but without a lot of flavor from it. super drinkable. overall a really cool beer, flavorful but delicate at the same time, perfect for warm weather crushing, and nice in a morning beer context too! ill look for more beer from these guys next time i am in the area!
