March 2006: 330 ml green bottle, now available in Norway (Vinmonopolet). Crystal clear pale golden colour, large and lasting head, leaves a nice lacing. Aroma has surprisingly much (for a pilsener, that is) malty sweetness, some aromatic hops too. Notes of grass, hay and honey. Flavour has distinct and very good hops, balanced by a mellow maltiness in the background. Bitter aftertaste. A very good pils in my book, as far as pilseners go. The multinational brewers of cheap pale lager swill have something to learn here! Like all beers from Neumarkter Lammsbräu, it is organic.

I only which these bottles wold be bigger. Other than that, it's a highly enjoyable pilsen beer.
Golden colored liquid with a good carbonation and lace. Hops and malt are balanced, moderately spiced and no after taste.

Average look, smell nothing to write home about. Decent flavor but has a dry, flat bitterness that's very unpleasant if you're drinking it by itself. With heavy food it wasn't bad, but a beer should be judged on its own.

Just a pleasant pils.
Drank while in Berlin for my third time (1988, 2001, 2016).
German brewing strikes my as to traditional and mostly mass market. But I'm glad to find this crafter who also is specializing in organic beers.

This Pils Looks nice, a big foam that lasts as lace. Smells are mostly malt, but some grassiness and hops toward the end. Tastes follow closely consistent with style. Medium-mouthed, but a certain softness that shows craft to me. Keep up the good work !

Lammsbrau pils - from a bottle at Atlanta's 2013 German Bierfest.

Looks and feels like a typical German pils, excepting a light haze. The flavor is a bit more distinctive, with an unusual weedy/herbal note that adds character and interest. This is probably due to the use of "whole natural cone hops". Still, not terribly complex of course, but easily recommended for style.

A: Pours clear light golden with some small bubbles. The medium large white compact head takes some time to dissipate and leaves decent lacings.

S: Neat and clean - grainy malt (not too sweet) and bitter hops.

T: Lovely bitterness from hops. The malt balances the bitterness. Some fresh citric notes in the back.

M: Long lovely bitter aftertaste. Body is crisp, medium and carbonation smooth light.

O: A nice Pilsener with the basics, not much else, but man they make it great.

I guess this is actually different than edel pils judging by the abv listed here.

Neumarkter Lammsbräu Zzzisch Edel Pils

Not sure what the essential difference is here to the other pils besides abv. But this one smells very fresh and nice. It is a pleasant citrusy/hebal aroma of fresh hops and a slight bit of pale malt. The flavor is zippy with some fruitiness, pale malt, and a bit of bitterness. The hop flavor isn’t as intense as the smell but still satisfying.
