I'm watching old school NWA wrestling still, we're on 1988 now and the amount of "Jive Tones" on this show is about as comparably annoying as the years of weekly "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant. Meh, I'm ranting.

This beer smells ordinary and tastes ordinary. It's like a decent prepackaged home brew made from a kit. All the flavors are either muted or obscured through a mismatched blend of ingredients. I mean, it's not bad but the flavors are just bread on top of cereal with some corn syrup dolloped atop, a decent bitterness and 4 grams of protein make it passable but I'm not in love.

All said, very mediocre, would benefit from cutting into the breadiness with more hop flavors.

Pours a light fizzy head fades with touch of lacing, crystal clear pale pilsner color.

Nose mild sweet candy malt, little straw lager like malt, little fruity syrup, almost ester fruit not hop fruit, grassy herbal hops, weird herbal vegetal corn aroma, nose is light and bad.

Taste brings spicy herbal earthy hops, pretty bitter, plenty fruity flavors, hard to tell if hops or ester thing cause they are weird fruity flavors, straw husky malt little corn flavor, then hops get earthy spicy late, very bitter on the dry but sticky finish.

Mouth is med bod, lighter but decent carb.

Overall this beer was pretty bad, just poor hops that only really bitter, malts that don't blend well, weird fruity thing... This is a Damn shame, the lager was very well done, this is a poor excuse for ipa. Sorry guys, please rethink this one.

Poured from a 12oz can into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a very light yellowish gold color with a thin white head that fades very quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains lager yeast, light caramelized malts, some citrus and some hops.

T: The taste starts out bready with flavors of lager yeast and a hearty but not too heavy malt character. Then some mild sweetness comes in from flavors of caramel and citrus. The hops presence is also mild and brings a little balance. The after-taste is slightly bready and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium-to-high carbonation despite the lack of head foam, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Not very tasty, goes down ok, not too filling, mild kick, not the best representation of style, there are definitely several other beers in the style that I would pick first.

Beer looks nice, a orangy brown color with a 1 finger head. Poured from a tap. The smell was of an IPA or an APA, a bit malty, but nice. Taste was very good. Feel was incredibly smooth. I kept waiting for a bitter on the back that was never there. Super mouth-feel. Overall an excellent APA.

12 oz bottle was poured into a can shaped glass.

Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a golden straw yellow color with great clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Spotty lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.

Smell: Noble hops, toasted, biscuity, grainy, and pale malts.

Taste: Noble hops, pilsner and pale malts, light chewy notes, and light tingly bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Crisp, refreshing, medium carbonation, light bodied, a little chewy, and light bitterness.

Overall: Not bad. Easy to drink and enjoyable. Better than the normal macro APL.

Poured from 12oz bottle into tumbler.

Appearance: Light gold in color with a 3/4inch head. Solid head retention.

Aroma: Biscuity with a hint of grapefruit and floral notes.

Taste: Bright and very crisp in true lager form. Notes of citrus (grapefruit) and a bit of pine on the backend. Very refreshing.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light bodied with the perfect amount of carbonation for this style (in my opinion).

Overall: This beer has elements of being a good American hoppy beer, as well as maintaining the qualities that make lagers so great, with a crisp and refreshing finish. Will drink again.
