Moderate head which dissipates to minor rim bubbles. Some thinner streaks remain on the glass. Light gold color and crystal clear.

Reminiscent of a pilsner smell wise. Pleasant combination of a pale malt base with floral hop nose.

Moderate bitterness throughout the tasting. The malt is there but in the background. Higher carbonation gives this beer a crisp body. The finish and aftertaste reflect the malt - hop ratio.

i was really stoked on this, courtesy of my moms friend, thank you! its clever beer, a sturdy lager done with some millet, which i guess is a very common grain in india, cool connection there to the recipe and the beer name, and a very thoughtful brew overall, my first from mighty squirrel and an impressive one in both conception and execution. a little brassy look to this, deeper than golden but short of copper, nice and clear from the can under a tall and airy white head, this looks minimal but refined, very appealing, and not just yellow beer despite the apparent simplicity. the nose has a toasted depth to it, must be from the millet, not quite a rye spice thing but moving in that direction, bready and earthen, lots of minerals here, great with the subtle lager yeast, slightly european there, and some herbal and citrusy hop notes, maybe noble and northwestern together, this really is pretty dynamic, appreciably fresh too. the millet is cool in the taste, gives this a lot more depth than most pale lager types have, indian because of the millet, not because its an ipl, really smart, although it is hoppy too, white florals, a tea note, and some lingering bitterness which helps this finish out. the lagering is patient and clean and i like that its not totally neutral but also stays in the background. dry spiciness, citrus peel, and faint fruity candy as it warms, but it also stays thoroughly grounded and grainy. i thought this was delicious, nice and tidy, intelligent, and even on the verge of genius. millet lager, unique enough to stand out, drinkable as anything still too. really well done.
