750 ML bottle
Served in a Little Fish teku glass

This beer pours pale yellow and cloudy. It Is topped with an inch of creamy off white head that leaves little lacing.

The smell is tart with stone fruit. I smell pear and peach.

The taste is similar to the aroma. I get sour peach and pear with a bone dry finish.

Light bodied with a dry mouthfeel

This beer is fine example of a sour. It has a low abv and loaded with flavor. The dry finish leaves my mouthfeel eager for the next sip.

so weird, so good! i am a little hit or miss on these guys so far, but this one is killer. a collaboration with the now famous fonta flora, cool joint venture here. this is a rarely seen style of sour rye beer, its herbaceous and tart, with minerals and botanicals and a little citric acidity. its fresh and complex, and with the lower ph here, the rye malt is really intense, pale and dry, but spicy and earthy and uniquely itself in here. definitely an herb thing happening here, juniper, sage, aronia berry, its a little astringent but insanely fresh, like gin. i like how interesting the rye malt is here, how low the abv is but that it still has all this body, and i like it being tart without being sour. i like everything about it, its session beer for those who want to nerd out and try something super different. this is one of the better examples of kvass i have had, maybe the single best. id sure like to see more of this esoteric style, but am glad to have experienced this wonderful incarnation of it! i could almost swear there is spruce tips in here, but apparently only juniper. this is straight christmas tree for a second. loved this beer!
