When struck with an affliction that requires a great beer, this is your go-to amber ale. Various specialty malts add a complex flavor and impart a deep red color, while abundant hops force you to surrender to a pleasant citrus finish. Go to your happy place sipping this perfectly crisp, bright amber.

My first from Epidemic, I went on their website. Unfortunately, I didn't get a sense of what they are about, other than brewing and attaching goofy names and labels that are badly off-beat. Epidemic (not a funny name if you've lived through one as we all have) does not reveal much more about itself on its website. Maybe that is because there is not much more. But they will need more if they are to survive the upcoming market consolidation. Yet Epidemic is a micro that is 10 years old. For surviving that long without an apparent strategy to differentiate themselves, I still give them OK Overall Hugs.
Affliction is neither appetising in name nor appearance. Smells are average. So are Tastes, primarily because the hops never get juicy and coat my palate with some indescribable residue. Maybe medium-mouthed, but my mouth feels insulted. One and done. Thank you.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
