A: Pours an opaque thick viscous extremely dark cola brown approaching jet black in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate dark chestnut brown + dark brown + garnet red + dark golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a finger tall fizzy sudsy foamy dark mocha brown head that quickly reduces to a small to medium sized patch of very thin film and a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Strong aromas of chocolate + cookies over the top of moderate aromas of dark + chocolate + roasted malts with moderate to heavy amounts of lactose sweetness. Hints of cinnamon.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of dark + chocolate + roasted malts with moderate to heavy amounts of lactose sweetness. That is followed by very light flavors of cinnamon. Finally there are strong flavors of chocolate + cookies. Minimal amounts of bitterness and no perceptible hop presence is noted. Moderate amounts of lingering sweetness well through the finish.
M: Full bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth and syrupy.
O: Drinks fairly easily considering the strength but is definitely a slow sipper considering the sweetness. Enjoyable.
