Purchased as a single 16oz can from the brewery itself for $2.50. Poured into a pils glass.
L - Pours a clear cola brown, with a three-finger sudsy tan head. Head retains well, with alright lacing.
S - Brown bread, baker's chocolate, and a lightly sweet aroma.
T - Follows nose - but to a much richer degree. Seriously heavy chocolate, almond, and brown bread notes. A lingering slightly-smoky sweetness is present throughout the session. Dry molasses finish.
F - Medium-full in body, with mild carbonation. Filling. Satisfying.
O - A fan of this one, for sure! Super chocolatey, bready, and only a touch of sweetness. Surprisingly easy-to-drink, despite the ABV. I'd recommend this brew to anyone that thought Sam Smith's Organic Chocolate Stout could use more chocolate.

Appearance: Pours with a bubble show that lifts a two finger head to top off the coffee colored liquid; good retention and lacing action
Smell: Freshly baked dark bread with hints of chocolate, coffee and toffee
Taste: The chocolate and toffee flavors dominate the front end with a hint of coffee in the middle; the bready tones detected in the aroma don't quite make it through the sweeter elements, so the finish is slightly cloying
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation
Overall: I guess if you are going to brew a double Schwarzbier it is likely to end up rather sweet; interesting concept but I would prefer more of a dark bread character and a dryer finish
