Imperial Stout with house-made Dulce de Leche, Nicaraguan Cocoa Nibs from French Broad Chocolate Factory, New Guinea Vanilla Bean, and a blend of Morita, Ancho, and Guajillo chilies. Aged in Four Roses Bourbon barrels for 18 months and then bottle conditioned an additional 12 months.

Appearance: Pours like a black hole with a thin beige film developing and then fading to a ringlet with an island in the middle; speckles of lacing
Smell: The chili pepper tones bring the force in the aroma with the Bourbon adding a boozy aspect; some dark chocolate in the mix as well
Taste: Very boozy from the get-go, with Bourbon flavors dominating; the chili flavors build; just a hint of chocolate that struggles to maintain its presence through the finish
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with low carbonation; moderate heat in the aftertaste joins the warmth from the high ABV
Overall: This beer currently scores a 4.34 on Untappd but for the life of me, I don't get it; sorry, but I think it is a boozy, unbalanced mess
