A: Pours a thick sludgy murky opaque dark purplish red in color with light to moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation along the edges of the glass, moderate amounts of fine + large particulates in suspension, and moderate garnet red + purple + burgundy + ruby red colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy pink head that reduces to a large patch of mottled very thin film covering a little more than 60% of the surface of the beer and a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of tart cherries + rhubarb over the top of light to moderate aromas of slightly sour wheat malts + graham cracker with slightly stronger than moderate amounts of lactose sweetness and a light amount of lacto tart lemon citrus. Light aromas of vanilla + toasted marshmallow and just a hint of cinnamon.
T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of slightly sour wheat malts + graham cracker with slightly stronger than moderate amounts of lactose sweetness and a light amount of lacto tart lemon citrus. That is followed by hints of cinnamon and light flavors of vanilla + marshmallow. Finally there are moderate to strong flavors of tart cherries + rhubarb. Light to moderate amounts of sweet tartness which lingers well through the finish.
M: Slightly heavier than medium bodied with light to moderate amounts of carbonation. Thick almost chewy with a light to moderate amount of acidic prickliness.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a big thick smoothie-like mouthfeel. Very enjoyable with lots of cherry + rhubarb tartness and lactose sweetness. Interesting with the marshmallow + vanilla + graham cracker + cinnamon. Not pretty to look at but very flavorful.
