A: Pours a crystal clear, almost opaque dark mahogany in color with light to moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate ruby red + garnet red + amber colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall fizzy foamy dark beige head that reduces to a handful of small patches of thin film surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of toasted + bready + dark + caramel malts with light amounts of caramel sweetness. Just shy of moderate aromas of earthy + spicy + herbal hops. Hints of minerality and metallic notes
T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of toasted + bready + dark + caramel malts with light amounts of caramel sweetness. That is followed by hints of minerality and a touch of metallic notes. Finally there are just shy of moderate flavors of earthy + spicy + herbal hops which impart a slightly heavier than light amounts of bitterness which fades away fairly quickly leaving a clean finish.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp initially with a clean finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly crisp + clean mouthfeel. Good flavors and aromas for the style - quite enjoyable.
