Very malty and lacking the citrusy or fruity hop aroma characteristic of most ipas. definitely taste the sweetness of corn and cereal in there but in the end, for an IPA it is pretty disappointing. Resembles a scotch ale more than it does an ipa.

Bought one on a whim just to try it out.
473ml can served in a pint glass. ABV 4.8%.
L - Poured a clear deep gold with a 2cm fizzy head that quickly disappeared.
S - Some sweetness and some cooked vegetables and some hops.
T - It's downhill from here. Whatever sweetness & hops this beer might have is overshadowed by the vegetable & metallic flavours I'm picking up. To be honest, this tastes pretty horrible.
F - Does the job. Plenty of carbonation.
O - Only got through half the pint and drainpoured the rest. I just can't get past the taste.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Apr 11 2016 and served slightly chilled. Reviewed on my phone.
Pours a relatively clear golden-blonde hue, with 1.5 fingers of soapy, bone white-coloured head that soon recedes. A few splashes of lace, with a modest collar and filmy cap remaining in place afterwards. Leafy hops and lemon on the nose, with some grassy notes and grainy cereals.
A little bland, but in no way objectionable. Grainy pale malts, corn husks and light caramel sweetness, followed by some citrusy hop oil. Leafy and grassy, with some copper penny notes towards the finish. Light in body, with assertive carbonation and a crisp, prickly texture. Easy to drink, but otherwise below average.
Final Grade: 2.65, a C-. Definitely not American, and barely even an IPA in any case, Laker IPA is a pretty weak effort. At 2 bucks a can, this is a much better selection than the other Laker products, but it's still slop compared to literally any of the craft-brewed alternatives. A tolerable budget price hopped ale that I'd probably buy once in a while if it were sold locally as singles. A poor man's Wells IPA.

Minimal head, extremely mild grassy/oily hop aroma and extremely minimal hop flavour of mostly hop oils with some cereal grain. It's a step up from Keith's 'IPA' and pretty much what you'd expect from a Laker product.

Pours bright gold with patchy offwhite head that leaves a good amount of lace on the glass. light citrus hops and sugary sweetness in the nose. Citrusy, grapefruit, pine hops mix with a sweet malt profile in the taste. Mouthcoating mouthfeel from the sweetness. Light carbonation. Light bitterness and prominent sweetness in the finish.
This is an ok IPA. I was expecting it to have no hop character like alexander keiths, but it actual has a pleasant, if restrained hoppiness. Sweetness is an issue throughout. It should be drier. I won't seek it out agan.

Purchased at The Beer Store for $32.95 for a 24pk. Served at 4deg C in a draught glass
A- Opens well and pours a 1" high white head that is gone in seconds. Nice dark gold color. Filtered clear
S- Decent amount of hops, none dry. Good malt backbone.
T- Very good all around lite IPA. Not overpowering hops and to say the truth a bit thin on the hop level but expected in this mass produced brewery. Having said it's a mass produced brew I think its pretty darn good.
M- Dry and crisp
O- I like this brew. It's my every day brew now
Food Pairing
This nicely brewed IPA goes well with...... A whole wack of things which is why it is my NEW everyday brew.
Enjoy
