Brilliant pale straw in color topped with a white head. Good lacing.

BIG, classic Noble hop character on the nose, and it all follows-through on the palate.

Sweet and lightly herbal on the first sip, followed by a mild biscuit malt character and a lighter fruity character (sort of a diffused apple and pear.) A bit sweet overall, but the hop bite keeps it in check and blends really nicely, adding a grassy, herbal note.

This one's solidly above-average for the style, and overall a very good, even exceptional beer.

L-Great clarity to this...light golden color..crystal clear...

S-Lightly grainy...a hint of apple like fruitiness..

T-Grainy malt....crisp...clean....

F-Leans thin for the style but drinks smooth and easy...closes with a floral/spicy short finish...

O-Well done Helles....would like to see just a little more body to this but nice clean malt bill with just a bit of fruit on the aroma but not taste.....

Clear light gold color with large bubbles and a 1/2 inch white head. Aroma very similar to the Export-style (by memory, not side by side). Substantial (for the style) body and mouth feel. Earthy hops and bready malts with a touch of fruity esters and floral in the taste. A bit sweet. Very mild with little bitteress. Somewhat sticky finish.

The standard features of the Helles are their with the clean taste and light and crisp malt character with a bready doughy quality. Simplicity at it's best. However, the hops really make this interesting. They are bright and not overpowering with herbal, sometimes flowery taste (less in aroma but there too). Blending is really pleasing.
Small light beer easy drinking, but it's a shame with the wonderful flavors moving through the palate.
This is quite good.

This one was my favorite in the Hop-Frost pack, had a smooth mouthfeel not unsimilar to a spotted cow cream ale. Very little hop bitterness or "crispness". Excellent

Clear golden color with a finger of head. Not much lacing is left behind. Aroma of bready malt, grass, and some vinous qualities. Has traditional German hop flavors, but a little bit more intense without being overly bitter. Has herbal and grass flavors, bread, a little bit of pepper and white wine, and finishes crisp and dry. Light body but a bit under carbonated for my preference.

Clear, pale yellow bodied beer. Thin and bubbly ivory white head leaves adequate lace. Aroma has clean malts and earthy hops. Flavor is clean as well. Maltiness is bready. Hops add a little spiciness along with some earthiness. Medium bodied and clean, clean, clean.....as all the beers from this Frost Hop series seem to be. So easy to drink and so flavorful. Love these German lagers when they are done so well.

White head. Clear golden color.

Bready/biscuity malts. Herbal and earthy. Grassy. Light citrus.

Crisp, clean, and smooth. Light bodied. Nice carbonation. Ends clean.

Great easy drinking German lager with some very nice hop flavors. This was a treat.
