Pours a brilliant, darker golden in color, topped with a shock white head. Excellent lacing.
Nose is focused on the hops character, being equal parts spicy and herbal/ grassy notes. Very mild malt character on the nose, just a little bit of sweetness.
Lightly sharp/tangy hop character on the first sip, followed by a smooth almost bitter-sweet malt complexion. Lighter carbonation brings out the excellent aromatic qualities of the hops. Just a touch of alcohol on the nose.
Very smooth and easy drinking, with a rather dry finish.
This was my favorite (on a fresh palate) at Bockfest, and after a couple of bottles out of the (first) sampler pack I reckon I still rate this pretty highly. The malt is not slouching here, but perfectly complements the hops -- or hop (Tettnang). Is this a SMASH lager? ; )
Overall the Export Style is another very good -to- exceptional component in the Frost Hop sampler pack, and it may be my favorite of the bunch. But with other styles that I often gravitate toward (Pils, Helles) it's tough to choose just one above all the others!

L-Excellent clarity....Light oak colored...
S-Subdued...hints of grainy malt..lightly fruity (apples/pears)
T-Slightly sweet grainy/bready malt...a light underlying spiciness in the background..great tasting.
F-Medium bodied...sweet grainy maltiness but clean....
O-Very enjoyable. Love the malt flavor to this and the body seems perfect for the style....spicy/floral hops complement but don't battle the malt....well done.

This beer pours a clear gold with an average head. The aroma features biscuit malt, and fruity hops reminiscent of fruit loops, and something floral/ The flavor is crisp with biscuit malt, cereal grains, and a mild floral quality. The mouthfeel is crisp and ligh. Overall this is a tasty beer, but not the most interesting.

Clear golden color, plenty of large carbonation bubbles that settles down to a gentle level after a few minutes, tall, creamy white head. Aroma is nice... herbal grassy hops, bread, . Moderate feel. Aroma carries through to the taste. Nice hop flavor, slight bitterness. Clean finish.

This is one of the most refreshing beers I've had. Clean malt aroma and taste with the balancing hops in both. Very clean bitterness and spritely carbonation. Very attractive in a pils glass with classic white head over a brilliantly clear body. The mix and balance is near perfect with the doughy/grainy malt flavor with the herbal/spicy hop flavor smoothly moving towards a very pleasant finishing bitterness. There is a soft little malt sweetness than is quite pleasing. Never any excess but still showing distinct flavors. This goes down so nicely.
The hops seems to have a great fresh punch in all aspects. I like this more than Great Lakes version (maybe I haven't had a fresh enough version of that one).

Clear golden with a small head and just a little lacing. Bready malt aroma with notes of grass, earth, and pepper. Seems the less hoppy of the four in the sampler. Malt dominate with a nice Noble hop finish of grass and spicy notes. Creamy body because it is under carbonated. Bigger body than the other four but that is to style.

Crystal clear golden body capped with a small, tight ivory white head. Aroma has a nice bready/biscuity maltiness to it. Some light herbal hop notes. And clean bread yeast. Great flavor. Baked bread malt base with specklings of herbal hops on top. Clean yeastiness. Medium bodied and smooth. Very clean and flavorful. Great Lakes is the gold standard for me in this style and this is right up there.

Off white head. Lots of lace left. Clear golden color.
A little bit bigger than the #1. Bready malts. Earthy, grassy hops. Hints of citrus.
Crisp, clean, refreshing. Ends a bit dry.
Another great beer and the hops add a little extra zip to this lager.
