Pours a light transparent honey color. Smells of sweet grains with a bit of mustard thrown in. Tastes is of yeast and bread with a pinch of fruit thrown in. Mouthfeel is thin and sweet. Goes down well without much of an aftertaste.

= I dig a good Kolsch and this one is will do.

Brilliant golden straw in color, topped with a shock-white head. Good lacing.

Biscuit malts are notable on the nose, alongside the featured hop.

Sweet and lightly tropical-citrus hop notes on the fist sip, with a wonderful effervescent quality (appropriate carbonation.)

Hop character is as pronounced as with each of the others in this series, and the bittering aspect lingers and really gets into every nook and cranny in the palate. : )

Even more than the featured Mandarina Bavaria hop (it's not my favorite, but it's great here) the malt character from the blend of Rahr two-row and Schill Kölsch malt is outstanding, which has this one ranked among the best American Kölsch-style biers I've had.

It might be worth seeking out if you like the style!

L-Light golden color with nice clarity

S-Light fruitness with some winy notes...

T-Light bready malts and apple/pear like fruitness with a bit of a light dry, tart finish.

F-Clean...shows some balance but in the end it finishes a slightly more hop forward .

O-Quality Kolsch (style) beer.

This beer pours a deep, clear straw with an average head. The Aroma has tons of peppery spice, mustard, richer biscuit malts, and pizza crust. The flavor has a dominant dry biscuit quality, with spicy. floral. and peppery hops. The mouthfeel is light, bright, and very fizzy. Overall this is really excellent, and like all kolsch style brews I wish I could drink this by the litre.

Bright, clear gold with a ~1/2 inch white head. Aroma of bready yeast and hops, typical if German-style lagers that Schell's is so good at (OK, it's a Kölsch... a hybrid that drinks like a lager). Tingly mouth feel, bitter up front with a taste of bread, light fruit, with slight bittering continuing in the finish. A very refreshing take on the Kölsch style.

Off white head. Clear gold color. Lots of lace left.

Earthy, bready, citrusy, light, crisp, and clean. Hints of biscuit and lemon. Floral notes.

This one is light and crisp and very easy to drink. Very fun series!

Thus might be my favorite in the frost hop pack. Cream ale style mouth feel. But crisp and smooth beer

Earthy, yeasty, malt aroma. Smooth malt flavor with a slightly bigger feel than the lagers.
Hints of the orange from the hops along with a green earthy taste. Balanced nicely and as always from this brewery a nice drinking beer.

Light golden color with a finger of head that quickly settled. Not much lacing is left down the glass. Aroma of bready malt, pepper, and a slight citrus note. Surprising amount of hop character in this kolsch. Bitterness upfront accompany the bready malt with hop flavors of pepper and citrus. Clean yeast character. Dry and a bit astringent in the finish. The most disappointing of the Frost Hop collection.

wonderfully clear and golden. lots of activity in the glass with a thin, white head and little lacing.

nose is floral with notes of tangerine and bread. taste is sweet up front with a touch of lingering bitterness. hint of white grape and bread. i don't get a lot of the citrus in the taste, but that's really ok.

mouth is dry. medium body and clean finish. moderate carbonation.

great offering again from schells.

Crystal clear pale straw colored body. Fluffy snow white head leaves copious amounts of lace. Fresh aroma of bright citrus, lemon, mandarins and bready yeastiness. Flavor is more malt forward than the aroma. Nice clean bready maltiness. Some bright, citric hoppiness noted as well. Really a nice blend of malt and hops for the style. Carbonation is lively... dancing through a medium bodied beer. A slight lingering of lemon dryness. A quenching, flavorful beer.
