This is Jupiter and beyond the infinite. Possibly the best malty beer I’ve ever had. What did they put in this? I poured my bottle into a glass, and from start to finish it was just plain good. Nearly nil head. The aftertaste of each sip left me wanting another. It wasn’t too watery nor too heavy. I hope it’s not a one-bottle fluke. 2019/04/28
Here is the second bottle poured into a glass. Just as drinkable as the first, and here I tasted a hint of something upon which I couldn’t quite put my finger. Kind of a scotch ale, kind of a whiskey ale, kind of a spiced bee… I'm not sure what. It’s subtle, but it works nicely. I’ve got one bottle left, and I’m looking forward to it. 2019/06/04

Schell's Stag Series Minnesota Landbier, 4.94% ABV. Pours pale cloudy yellow with a one finger white head. Nose is malty, taste is bready, plus grass, with slight bitterness. Lots of grass in the aftertaste. Decent dry mouthfeel, overall very good.

Poured from 12-ounce bottle into a proper seidel. Not seeing any haze in this one: clear golden colored pour, with a couple of fingers of white head that disappears within a moment or so. Malt forward on the nose and palate, with notes of biscuit and light toffee, some herbal grassiness, and a hint of tart apple. Good carbonation, pleasant bitterness, and a mostly crisp and dry finish with a touch of lingering sweetness. A great food beer, and another great Stag Series offering from August Schell.

Brought back from MN, smuggled at great personal risk into the heart of the Pacific Northwest IPA region. A nice, slightly hazy pour, which is not usual for a lager. Not too much on the aroma, but we get the sense of a German beer. First taste is not what you expect, it's much different...which could be the wild rice (which is a grass seed, not a true rice). Dry to the taste, good carbonation. Bitterness is pronounced, tempered with a solid malt base. This one is a rare beast and likely not to be repeated elsewhere for a good long time.

Interesting beer. Pours a slightly hazed tan....floral aroma.
Flavor is floral as well. Dandelions. Also green tea, a wild rice like nuttiness and berries. Quite flavorful and unique. Finishes a little dry.

This beer pours a rich gold with a fairly small head. The aroma features notes wheat toast, elderflower, cashew, and candied kiwi. The flavor is dense and rich, with notes of herbal tea, wheat toast, bran cereal, kiwi, passionfruit, and hobnob cookie. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with avergae carbonation and a crisp finish. Overall this is a really excellent lager, combining intriguing complexity and superior drinkability.

Poured from 12oz bottle into glass. Best by date stamped on bottle's neck is '012419'. Part of the "Brewer's Stash" four beer 12-pack.
Slightly cloudy, deep gold colored body, with rising bubbles. Half a finger of white head disappears and leaves a thin bubble fed ring. No lacing left behind.
Aroma is malty, nutty, and with an ambrosia like smell. Also has a hint of berry fruit.
Taste is sweetness on top and an underlying bitterness. Flavors are bready and floral/berry fruit. It is similar to a fresh honey made from very aromatic and sweet flower nectar.
Thin to medium mouth feel. Good carbonation.
Interesting aroma and flavor for a lager.

Aroma is malty / bready, and floral. Slightly hazy golden amber with visible carbonation rising. White head dies quickly to a bubbly cap. Unexpectedly thick feel, for the style. Creamy. Flavors are bready sweet, floral, very good. The sweetness is balanced by a moderately bitter hop presence throughout: initial, middle, finish, and aftertaste.

Darker gold color. Almost a bit unfiltered it seems. White head.
A little bit of sweetness, bready/biscuity malts, and earthy hops. Floral notes in the finish with a touch of bitterness. Very interesting beer and I am having a tough time with the flavors. Reminds me of a pils mixed with a helles and then something with a bit more pronounced flavors.
Lighter bodied. Crisp. Easy drinking.

Slightly hazy amber color. Aroma of pale malt with a slight hoppy perfume. Flavor really picks up. Nice hoppiness compliments the pale malt and slightly nutty wild rice. The wild rice thankfully is very subtle. A light beer with lively carbonation. A bit too lively to be honest.
