Appearance: Pours a 30% cloudy, pale, dark yellow color with a strong and lacy white, glistening head. (3.75)
Aroma: Light on the aroma. Some lemon or orage dish soap. Then some light nectarine. Some sweaty, sweet pineapple sap develops. (3.50)
Flavor: Flavor follows the nose. Relatively simple. Some orange marmalade. Lots of tart, unripened peach and cherry to provide a slight tartness. Finishes creamy and clean with minimal bitterness. (3.50)
Feel: Lighter-bodied. Strong carbonation and rather creamy on the mouthfeel. Clean on the palate.
Overall: This is a fairly interesting Kveik IPA. It's only my second one, but I can say this one is slightly dissapointing. As a previous review mentioned, I much prefer The Vossisdoss IPA by Bahaus. This one just falls flat and simple on the flavor. Simple and rather underwhelming. (Final Rating: 3.47)

Fruity aroma: pineapple, citrus - perhaps orange? - tropical fruits.
Color is cloudy burnt orange (brighter with a backlight) and a good level of fine carb bubbles rising to a tall, slightly off-white bubbly-thick head. The head recedes fairly quickly, leaving great-looking strings of lacing around the glass. After just a few minutes, the head is a cap with mounds of thick bubbles.
Taste is different; taking me a bit to characterize it. The pineapple and tropical fruits from the aroma are there, and strongly so, but the taste at the forefront is interesting, very nice and enjoyable, but hard for me to describe (I checked some other reviews - they were no help... maybe it's just me...)
It is a good tasting beer, despite my lack of words to describe it. There is some cracker malt presence behind the fruit flavors. A moderate bitterness begins a few seconds after each taste, that grows stronger and lingers into the aftertaste. This is not WC IPA level of bitterness, or even a Midwest IPA level, but more than sufficient to meet expectations for an IPA. The bitterness grows as you drink the beer.
The mouth feel has a solid body with decent carbonation.
The finish is semi-dry.
Overall, a very good IPA.

Can. White head with lace. Slightly hazy yellow color.
Unique yeast strain in the finish. Orange and pineapple. Some citrus. Really fruity for a Schells beer. A light bitterness. Bready malts. Solid ipa!

From a 12oz can:
Appearance: Hazy yellow, ok head.
Smell: Pretty big pineapple aroma, tropical.
Taste: Moderate sweetness, pineapple fruit, and moderate citrus bitterness.
Overall: This is a pretty good IPA from Schell's, quite a bit of pineapple flavor, maybe the most I've encountered. Worthy of picking up the mixed pack it is in, along with the excellent arctic ale.

Way too fruity of an IPA for me. I get oranges and peaches with a mild yeast spice. The malt does not really bring anything of interest to the beer. Bitterness is relatively low. Nice body and carbonation.

Poured from a can into a tulip.
Pours a hazy light-gold with a nice fluffy head and solid lacing.
The aromas are grapefruit, clover, honey, and lavender.
The initial flavors are honey-kissed graham cracker malts followed swiftly by orange, peach, white pepper, and spicy yeast. The brew closes with modest but solid grassy, soapy, and earthy hops.
The brew is just beyond medium-bodied and smooth/creamy.
This is a solid unique IPA.

Much prefer the Bauhaus IPA using this same yeast but this is fine....some citrus on the aroma and flavor (oranges, tangerines) along with a slight tartness which reminds of a dialed down Belgian IPA.....clean enough.....medium bodied.....good beer just lacks the bright citrus and over all creaminess of the Bauhaus Vossisdoss Kveik.

Part of a mixed 12 pack. Small Batch Limited Release. As per the can " This IPA is fermented with a hornidal yeast strain, used most frequently in Norwegian farmhouse brewing. Presenting lightly hazy and golden orange in color. The unique flavor profile brings the hops along with hints of orange marmalade, stone fruit and citrus.
Pours a bright hazy yellow with a thick white head. Good retention and great lacing. Aroma is full of citrus. Flavor is full of sweet fruit and has a nice bitter hop finish. Feel is light bodied and well carbonated. Overall a fantastic beer. Would gladly buy this if it were offered as a stand alone beer.
