Appearance: Pours a clear, medium golden color with a mild white head. SRM of 9. (3.75)
Aroma: Moderate aromas of caramel honey, brown bread, toast with a light spiced pine note at the end. Leans mostly sweet caramel and honey. (3.50)
Flavor: Moderate flavors of caramel and honey upfront. This turns into a brown bread, bread crust, grains, and yeast profile. Then an underlying caramel and honey sweetness catches up through the end to finish malty. (3.75)
Feel: Medium-bodied. Low carbonation. Finish is slightly sticky and sweet. (3.50)
Compared to Rogue Dead Guy 4/12/22: Pours a slightly lighter color. Milder aromas. More honey, caramel. Less Wheaties, bread crust. Winner: Rogue
Overall: A pretty good maibock, but as it warmed it started to get that sticky honey flavor. Has a nice flavor profile though. Mostly honey and caramel with faint pine notes. A nice springtime beer. (Rating: 3.67)

Part of the Peacock 12 pack, spring 2020. tested from 12oz cans.
Smell: lots of floral/citrus hops at first with a hard pour. but later seems more of sweet malt
taste: a mixture of sweet malt with a touch of honey and maybe corn. Plus plenty of hop: floral, citrus and pine. slightly sweet but does turn bitter more towards the finish.
hard beer to rate. ABV? around 6.5+% I guess. I like it but it's a little over hopped for my blood. 3.71/5

Pours golden-copper in color, topped with an off white head.
Lightly floral hop note, but otherwise very neutral (“clean”).
SWEET on the first sip, with piney and resiny hop notes tempering the sweetness. A bit fuller in body, but about right for a stronger lager of its type. Alcohol is very well hidden, and this one drinks “smaller” than it is.
Very good to excellent drinkability. The sweetness is a bit much for my palate this afternoon, but otherwise it’s about right for the style.
