Hazy gold in color, this beer is bursting with aromas of fresh wildflowers, lemons & pineapple. Oats give a rich, creamy mouthfeel over a bright sweet & sour character.

The pour is a nice amber color that looks completely transparent, the ivory white head leaves rings of lacing.
The taste makes me a little sad that it is retired.
No doubt this is a sour beer, the tart just leaps out. Lemon and grapefruit; not getting any pineapple. There is a herbal flavor that I can’t define, but it tastes a little like wet oak might taste like. Except in a good way.
OA, this might have been better in the summer, but it is really tasty right now.

Bottled 2020, poured in tulip glass 2024. Very light brassy color, slight haziness. Very slight carbonation, almost no head from the pour & disappeared almost immediately.

Very mild funk, tart fruitiness, almost no malt or hops character. Light body, nothing to suggest 7.0% ABV...careful! Could almost pass as a semi-dry hard cider. I love it, but I'm a fruit beer freak...sorry...

Starkeller Static Transmission pours a hazy, bronze color with not much head. The aroma is tart and fruity. The flavor has a tartness, and sweet fruit notes come through. GOod feel. Overall, it's a nice, easier, sweet and sour beer.

Thanks to Jeff for this one. 500ml bottle into a Side Project snifter. Shared with schen9303.

Pours a slightly cloudy goldenrod. No head, no lace, very thin legs. Nose is kind of cheesy. Some metal, pear, and spoiled stonefruit. Moderately aromatic. Beer opens oak, barnyard and cheese funk. I get some funky bathroom in the middle with bits of lemon, hay, and straw. Tart, lemon finish. Solid. Funky. Body is light with moderate carbonation. Slightly prickly on the palate and goes down aggressive, tart. Relatively clean finish.

Solid if a bit underwhelming compared to others I've had from this brewery.

375ml bottle. Label is marked 'BOTTLED: JANUARY, 2020'.
Slightly cloudy, straw colored body. Very, very brief head, but no remnants after a few moments. No lacing.
Aroma is flowery barnyard funk, with a little bit of lemon.
Taste is similar to flavor, with funky flowers and lemon. Overall, this is tart. The pineapple flavor arrives late, and as the beer warms. Dry finish,
Mouthfeel is a creamy medium. Very good carbonation.
A real treat that the funk is allowed to rule, with the fruit contributions. Unexpected creamy mouth feel is a welcome positive addition that adds to the experience.

375 ml bottled: January 2020

Slightly hazy golden color with minimal head and no lacing. It is not a still beer as you can see carbonation in my Duvel tulip. Smells almost like a mead with plenty of wildflower honey upfront. Notes of barnyard funk as well. Flavor is funky, sweet, and sour. Love it when Schell's lets the barnyard funk loose in their Berliner's instead of just going sour and fruited. Not as much funky cheese as others in the past which I missed. It is replaced by a lemon tartness. Not as finely carbonated as previous attempts but it is more creamy. Different but in a good way. Another fine Berliner Weiss from Schell's.
