Hello. This the pilot speaking, and we do hope you're enjoying your flight... of beer! We've overhauled an authentic German pilot brewing system to bring you these small batch brews, and our inaugural beer is the one you're currently holding.
Not as dark or malty as its bock counterpart, this beer is deep golden in color with a sweet flavor and hint of honey. Legend has it, Maibocks help to summon springtime weather. At least that's what we hear. Batch No. 001

12 oz can dated 7/1/21. Thanks Chaz!
Deep gold, brilliant clarity. Big fluffy white head with excellent retention that leaves behind a good amount of lacing. Just a beautiful looking beer.
Explosive piney/grassy hop aroma with a sweet toffee/caramel malt backbone. The can says 60 IBU and it isn't lying. Sticky piney hops dominate the flavor as well.
Lingering bitterness gives it a bittersweet finish. Medium-full bodied, clean, and easy to drink for its weight. A big beer that doesn't scream Maibock, but tasty enough in its own right.

wow look what I found in the back of a beer fridge, I thought I drank all the cans.
taste: grainy bread sweet malt, hops are a mixture of floral (honey?)/lemon with a slightly bitter grass/earth finish. I think that the hops may have faded a little which is ok. It seemed to be overly hopped and roughly hopped when it was younger. 3.83/5

12oz can BB4 date July 1, 2021
Poured into a 12oz mug.
L: Pours nearly clear deep clean honey gold. Tall dense lumpy bright white head. Good carbonation. Medium spider web lacing.
S: Nose is butterscotch caramel candy, cereal grains, nut bread.
T: It is curiously hop forward and somewhat bready, sweet, honey and earthy. Again it is well hopped and has a bitter long subtle hop thread going through the center of the entire taste profile. It is more hoppy than malty.
F: This beer has a very good mouth feel and is clean, smooth, glassy and med-heavy bodied. It drinks very easily at 6.3%ABV and interestingly due to it's hop profile it drinks a bit like an ale. An extremely enjoyable beer and mildly adventurous for the style. A very well crafted beer.

L-Golden color..pretty good clarity
S-Aroma leans malty...breads...honey...some floral hop notes as well
T-Pretty balanced but leans toward the hops on the flavor. Floral and spicy with a bit too much bitterness for my liking.
F-Firm medium bodied...dry finish
O-Good maibock but a bit too heavy handed with the hop impression for my liking. Maibocks should be a little more hopped up and spicy than regular bocks but this is a bit too much in my opinion. Still a quality beer.

Crystal clear golden color with plentiful carbonation bubbles topped by a white, thick, fluffy-cloud head with OK retention. It leaves thick, sticky lacing as the head recedes.
The aroma is bread dough with sweet floral.
The initial taste is floral and bright, with a distinct slightly toasty bready malt underneath. There is an earthiness to the taste, as well as a touch of sweet bread. A fairly high level of bitterness arises in the middle and intensifies in the finish, leaving a bitter aftertaste. The finish is dry and bitter, balanced somewhat by the breadiness from the malts.
The mouth feel has good body, and yet the hops and carbonation keep it crisp.
Overall, a crisp, floral, and bitter take on the maibock style. Too bitter for a maibock for me, though - as in the IPL style rather than maibock style - but otherwise, a well done and a refreshing spring beer.

A healthy pour resulted in two fingers of foamy tan colored head, 80% of which disappeared relatively quickly with the remaining quarter inch hanging on for a couple minutes ultimately leaving behind a razor thin layer. Translucent, golden amber in color. Overall a nice looking beer. Aroma sweet and lightly malty. Taste largely follows the nose, although the malt is subtle. Just a little bit of hops to balance things out. Light, refreshing and very, very easy drinking.

12oz can stamped 07/01/21 poured into a Celebator pokal glass at just above fridge temp 6.3% ABV 60 IBU per label. The beer pours bright golden honey amber in color with off white head. The head recedes slowly to a thick cap and leaves plenty of lacing. The aroma is mild with pils malt, floral hops and a distinct note of lemongrass. The taste is semisweet toasted malt with a gentle floral, grassy citrus hop note capped by a moderately bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, very, very good. When you get that balance of malt to hop in a maibock and there's no hint of a brewing flaw, you have something special. I would happily drink this one by the liter.

Pours a clear, darker golden color. There's a decent amount of carbonation that gives me a 3 finger, white and fluffy head. The head retention is pretty good, and there's some really nice spider-web lacing on the glass.
The nose is a bit light. There's a combination of a sweet maltiness, combined with a bit of hops that makes a good aroma.
Taste - Malty and hoppy at the same time. The hops lean toward citrus to my palate. There's a malty, biscuit, bread sweetness as well. There's also a bit of honey in here.
Clean, crisp clear bodied.
I am liking this Maibock. Delicious.

Clear, pale amber color with a finger of dense head. Aroma of sweet bready dough with a hint of floral and herbal hops. Flavor of honey poured on lightly toasted bread. It moves to more balance with the help of the floral hops but still a little too sweet for me. Smoothly carbonated and medium body. Not the cleanest finish.

12oz can. Best by date stamped on can bottom is '070121'.
Clear, deep gold colored body. Initial pour brings a thin finger of white head, which remains due to constantly rising bubbles. Leaves a few trailings of lacing.
Aroma is expressive of toasted bread and nuts. Some floral hops, and a little honey sweetness.
Taste starts with a little sweet honey and then evolves into floral bitterness. With the honey and bready flavors comes a reminder of toffee. Some nuttiness. Floral and earthy hops. The after taste is a buzz of the trailing off bitterness and mellowed by the honey sweetness.
More than medium mouth feel. Certainly leads to swirling in the mouth. The tastes bounce off one another. Very good carbonation.
The bready base, the floral bitterness, and the touch of honey sweetness make up an excellent and enjoyable beer. No tricks, just excellent brewing skills.
