Available only at the Bierhalle. Brewed and designed by Jordan Walls.
This porter is a full-bodied drinking experience with strong notes of peanut butter and chocolate—a delicious dessert beer. The porter’s base malt is Golden Promise, and the other seven malts make up chocolatey-caramel joy. The peanut butter flavor comes from an extract that was slowly dosed into the fermenter as a secondary addition. Cacao nibs were added to the fermenter as a secondary addition to further enhance the chocolate notes. This porter is all about balance and finding ways to experiment with the boundaries of what beer is and how good drinking beer can be.

Aroma and flavor is mostly Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. The chocolate is a bit different, notice the salt a little more. And a slightly acidic finish.

12 ounce can. I was surprised Schell's made this kind of beer and, as someone else said, I'd be fine if they didn't make any more of it. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that good for a fairly premium price. Seemed kind of like a bock that they just added some peanut and chocolate flavor notes and a tad higher alcohol level. I thought it was a bit thin-bodied for a porter, the mouth feel was underwhelming. Oh well, it's drinkable and I'll drink it.

Smell: smells like chocolate syrup smells like peanut... Smells like those wafer cookies with the sugar in them... Fudge vanilla...
SRM's about a 45 with a tan to light brown head
Taste... At 6% I can taste the alcohol surprisingly... Tastes like chocolate liqueur... There's a peanut butter note... But it's not delicious peanut butter... There's kind of a raisin sweet taste... It doesn't scream Porter... There's a hop note it's kind of like a cascade hops... It does its job to bitter... But frankly it doesn't compliment the Porter or the chocolate or the peanut butter notes...
DNF Did not finish... It wasn't technically old ... date on the can was 012626. It was 4 days within its Best buy date
I would say it's more like a Bock than a porter... Malt beverage with natural flavors and caramel color... Recipe needs work and refinement It's just not delicious..... I had one at third space brew place I reviewed recently it was better balanced and more natural tasting It was more on the delicious side... Creamy not bitter...

Pours dark brown with a one finger tan head of foam which fades quickly to a small collar of foam. The aroma is strong peanuts and chocolate. Not sure I would describe it as peanut butter, but it does smell very nice. The taste has chocolate, peanuts, and some dark roasted malt flavor. A nice balance between sweetness and bitterness. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. A nice beer that satisfies, and well worth trying.

Poured from a 12-oz can just over three months old gifted me by my Minnesotan son-in-law, into a tulip glass.
Look: Dark brown, bubbles rising, with a tan head so massive and with such good retention it required multiple pours to empty the can. Significant lacing.
Nose: Overwhelmingly peanut butter, with dark roast underlying, and a hint of milk chocolate.
Attack: The dark roast prevails, with the peanut butter underneath, and again the hint of milk chocolate.
Finish: A slight bitterness from the dark roast.
Mouthfeel: Fairly thin, well-carbonated.
Overall: Full-flavored and well-balanced, very drinkable. Milder than a typical American Porter; I think it is more typical of something between an English and American Brown. I would — and will — happily drink it again.

Porter's are my favorite beers, this is the best peanut butter porter I've had. Great smell, color and most of all taste. Only had it in draft so can't comment on can. But if you see it at a bar, get yourself a glass. You wont be disappointed.

Pours clear dark brown with a thick tan head that leaves generous lacing. Aroma is as expected, peanuts and chocolate. Flavor follows the nose, dark roasted malt, peanuts and chocolate, sweet but not cloying. Feel is light bodied and well carbonated. Overall, a great porter.

Can. Tan head. Caramel brown color.
Tastes as advertised. Peanut butter cups. A bit chalky, nutty, but overall pretty smooth. Some roasted peanut flavor.
Surprised to see Schells making something like this. It’s decent but I’d be okay if they didn’t make it again.

From a 12oz can. Best by 03/07/25
This is a very dark pouring beer. Mostly brown in color, but there's dark amber hues where the light shines through the glass. The head is quite thick at 3 fingers. The head is fluffy looking and has amazing retention. I am really liking the lacing on the glass as the head dissipates.
Aroma - wow, dark chocolate hits my nose in a pleasing way with notes of a sweeter peanut butter that cuts the dark chocolate.
Taste - The peanut butter hits right away. and provides some sweetness to this beer. The back is all about the dark chocolate (with some peanut butter still lingering). The dark chocolate has a nice roasted flavor to it and a slight, but pleasing bitterness to it.
The body is decent, though it does seem at times to be a bit on the thin side. Very smooth feeling, and a slight creamy feeling to it from the peanut butter.
This is not a beer I would have expected Schells to make, but they just knocked it out of the partk. Damn delicious, and so glad I bought it.

12oz can. Best by bottom stamp is '030725'.
Clear, deep brown colored body, with a red mahogany back lit edge. Two fingers of beige head retreats to a thin cap and ring. Left behind are scattered small spots of lacing.
Aroma is roasted malts, peanuts, and chocolate.
Taste is roasted malts topped with peanut and chocolate. Sweet with some base bitterness from the roasted malts. Mellow aftertaste with peanut, chocolate, and malt.
Medium mouthfeel, with a metallic note. Clean finish. Good carbonation.
Seems like a successful but simple brew with peanut and chocolate.

Schell's can be hit and miss when it comes to their offerings - some are good and some make me cringe. Anyway, this is from tap, head that fades fast, nose is very nutty (almost like a cereal) with chocolate. Taste follows with peanut butter at the front, fading into chocolate, very little happiness. Very good.

From a 12oz can:
Appearance: Dark brown, big head.
Smell: Very nutty, hint of chocolate.
Taste: Mild sweetness, then a nutty flavor with a little bit of chocolate mixed in. Medium-light bodied. The nut flavor sticks around through the finish.
Overall: Lots of peanut butter porters around, here's Schell's effort. It's fine, plenty of nut aroma and flavor, maybe could be a little sweeter or have more of the porter base show through.
