The classic English "pint of bitter," but with a subtle American twist. Cascade hops bring a more pronounced floral bite to a beer known for its earthy, malty backbone and dry, hop finish.

this is like the first sign of weakness or anything other than amazing i have seen in cerebral beers. they are all so well made and tasty across the board, i was shocked to see this is neither an awesome recipe or a well executed brew, it needs work for sure. newer though, so maybe its not dialed yet. its really sharp, tannic, too hot, and not showing the best side of its more traditional grain base. some sweetness and some classic english bready elements are there in nose and taste, but its metallic and thin, and it warms up disastrously. maybe too much carbonation, maybe that carbonic acid has built up too high, but it seems to be already decaying, and its really unflattering. hints of golden raisins and english breakfast tea make it more interesting than many, but i am missing the base malt i like in the style, and i am missing any english hops at all on the back end, its hoppy but not right. they havent taken the style in a new direction here, they have missed the mark. the only beer on the board in here i wouldnt highly recommend. i hope they dont give up on it though, i know they can make a good one of these, this just isnt it...
