Thanks for the effort, Jason. A bit of brett, lemon, very light tartness. Some chardonnay in finish. All rather watered down. Worth a sample, a bottle needs a few drinkers.

wild(ish) saison here brewed with kabosu juice, which is a japanese grapefruit or some other sort of asian citrus, with a wonderful pungency in this beer, i feel like i know it well through this drink without ever encountering the fruit in person. a very soft pale saison, creamy headed and sexy looking in the glass. the aroma and flavor, enhanced by some brett and of course this special citrus are really special. first of all, i get straight green melon, honeydew, like, unmistakably honeydew, maybe spritzed with a little lemon juice, i get more melon than citrus. maybe thats what kabosu tastes like, or perhaps its a synergy with the fruity brett strain. this isnt overly funky, in fact its very clean, subtle belgian yeast fruity notes in the middle, maybe apricot and pineapple too, with a dry farmy saison strain profile more dominant than the brett from what i can gather. lightly hoppy in the finish, but man, its all about this refreshing juicy melon quality for me, its so different and distinct, never tasted this in a beer before, truly unique. well carbonated and on its way to being nice and dry. its cool they bottled it because im sure it will funk up a little bit with the brett over time. this is awesome fresh though, a real taste sensation, something different, great saison!
