really really good, one of the best i have had from these guys in a long time, and a huge thanks to my friend for saving and sharing a crowler of it with us, really tasty brew. its a bretty tart saison with peach juice and galaxy hops, and it is excellent, a triumph for these guys. the brett is super mature on the pale golden beer, and while the peach is largely fermented out it seems, there is an obvious fruitiness remaining, very vinous, maybe this was aged in wine barrels, i dont know, and the galaxy imparts a lot of tropical notes too, its like the very essence of so many things in small doses, peach and apricot, lime and kiwi, lemongrass and passion fruit, its gorgeous. the tartness is clean and light, and the brett is way more robust than the acidity, especially in the finish were it matters most. wet sheep, musty basement kind of funk to it, dry as can be, but still really fresh with the hops. light vanilla from the wood but very crisp too, smooth in feel, light, and effervescent. i thought this was complex and super well refined, far better than i expected it to be for whatever reason, and really a highlight from these guys. a standout in a really heady session too, they should be really proud of this one. i wonder if they can recreate it in the future, i sure hope so!
