375 ml bottle into a tulip glass. Had 2/6/19.
Pours a hazy orange/brown- looks like old fashioned cider, with a two inch plus creamy foam head with great retention and lots of foamy lacing. Aromas of pears, cinnamon, Belgian yeast, light malt, light toffee, some maple and apple. Really smells good. The flavor is cinnamon, Belgian yeast, malt, pears, apples, light caramel and maple, a slight, pleasant sour flavor when fully warmed. Smooth, a very good light to medium body, well carbonated.
The pears and cinnamon really pop out, and this is maybe the best use of pears I’ve had in a beer. The fenugreek contributes a subtle maple presence. Well balanced between the yeast, malt and add- ins. This is a solid effort, would buy again.
