This beer came out of the cask crystal clear with a color beyond deep gold heading toward copper. A good, nearly white head that dies quickly seems to be standard here. A medium, drinkable body has rich apricot flavors blended with toasted malt with a good hop nose and flavor that lasts throughout. I'm guessing they use standard English hops here. Low to medium bitterness but with an assertive floral scent and flavor. There is a slight metallic astringency that I found actually helped balance the fruitiness of this beer. This was their only offering where I found the alcohol to be evident in the taste of the beer. It was sweet and bitter simultaneously with a faint bubblegum aftertaste. Very enjoyable.
