this one was just okay for me, caught in sort of a funny place between real hazy beer and just dipping the toe, its not real cloudy at all in the look, more of an unfiltered appearance than an intentionally hazy one, doesnt look starchy or thick at all, and still has its golden glow. aroma of dry hoppy first, grapefruit zest and pith, a green freshness, and a lightly sweet note, kind of oily and west coasty to my nose, and its like than when i taste it too, a sort of palate coating hoppiness that i dont normally associate with the new england style, and even though it doesnt have much bitterness on the finish, it seems as much west coast as east to me, an odd hybrid of the styles that doesnt quite fuse their best elements, but a drinkable enough pint of beer, and preferable for me at least to a similarly executed straight up new england. this is just okay overall, none of the hoppy beer in here stood out to me, and all were well behind the wet hopped one they had on when i was in. the only beer of its kind i saw in town though...
