Clear dark red-brown brew with abundant beige foam in the Sam Adams glass. Aroma of roasted grain and some greenery in the nose. Sudsy and sprightly on the tongue with a medium malty body. Dark malt flavor with some caramel and burnt sugar. Finishes with a modest bitterness. Not very sweet with a bit of the charred malt. Overall this is highly qyuaffable but more flavorful than many Brown ales. From the 16 oz can purchased at the brewepub in Scottsdale.

Pours a clear reddish brown black with a finger and a half of foamy head that slowly settles to a thin cap with plenty of lacing. Aroma of molasses and chocolate. Taste follows nose. Very nice.
