Just added this beer to the database. Gonna write a review bc I'm not a sociopath. Had this over Memorial Day weekend 2021, with some chicken on the grill in the background.
Pours golden. Looks pretty. Great clarity. 3/4" white head. Unfortunately, the appearance would be the beer's best quality. The aroma was lacking for an IPL. The lager yeast was mild, the hopping in terms of aroma was mild. Not bad, just milder than I hoped.
Taste was also underhopped compared to almost every other IPL I've ever had. I think its Pacific Jade hops? Not much impact. Almost felt, like a traditional Saaz hopped lager more than an IPL. The body is light and crisp, pilsner malt, done in Arizona, we're definitely doing good in that department. I enjoyed this beer when I said it was just a regular lager. IPL got my hopes up too much, and certainly Arizona being one of, if not the best lager producing state had expectations high for that reason as well. The stickers on the can were tough to reapply too. Oh well. Good not great.
