A blend of two open fermentations, Petite Galaxy and an all citra hoppy pale. Fermented separately with different strains of Brettanomyces yeasts, then blended together and aged. The result is a light, effervescent, citrusy bomb that makes us scream "c'mon sunshine" as we work through the winter months.

C'mon Sunshine is almost clear (SRM 2-3) with one inch of creamy white foam. The head holds for several minutes before falling to a thin blanket. Fine random bubbles of carbonation race upward, providing reinforcement. A surprisingly thin film forms on an Offero oversized wine glass, while thin spotty lace is deposited. Once I added yeast, the beer turned to a light, foggy haze.
Earthy farmhouse aromas dance with bright lemon peel. Some coriander is followed by light curry. There is a faint green bottle skinkiness that is more noticeable after each sip.
The flavor is more bitter than expected, with added astringency. This is followed by a light sourness. Both the lemon and coriander come through clearly, while parsley and watercress show up late. The finish retains bitterness and astringency. It is fairly acidic, with warmth helping a little.
This beer is very dry with a thin body and satin texture. The alcohol seems higher than as labled, possibly due to acidity. The astringency is most unfortunate, and clearly holds this one back. Carbonation is ample.
This is a decent beer, though more harsh than my preference. I enjoyed it after yardwork on a hot afternoon. Perhaps the hops are a bit high and the yeast blend reacted poorly.
