A - Dark brown-black body, opaque, with a short brown head, quick to fade, and minimal lacing.
S - Chocolate. Lots of chocolate. Chocolate milk.
T - Bright chocolate hit, primarily milk chocolate, with a hit of roasty malts, and a moderate bitter note in the close.
M - Brisk carbonation. Very light, and a bit of residual sits on the tongue.
O - As the name suggests, you get a chocolate cake flavor, with just enough bitterness in the close it from turning cloying. Tasty, but I suspect I'd like this in a smaller format of 12 oz.

Pours a dark brown color with a foamy tan head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of chocolate. Creamy smooth taste of chocolate, marshmallow and vanilla. Good mouth feel. Been eating bumpy cake all my life. First time to drink it.

Very nice offering from Old Nation. Poured from bottle to nonic pint glass. Dark mahogany in color with a finger and a half of foam on top. Aroma is amazingly identical to bumpy cake. Sticky sweet chocolate frosting, smooth vanilla creme, moist, fudgy cake. Taste is almost there, too. Vanilla and rich cocoa notes float over the the tongue. Damn near perfect but for a slightly sour, prune /roast notes on the finish. Otherwise quite fantastic and worth a pick up!

Black stout-like that is very thin and watery. Taste is a bit like Sanders Bumpy cake but is very bland. Mildly chocolate with hints of vanilla cream frosting followed by a stale malt after taste.

Came in a becker a deep walnut brown with a thick creamy-like deep beige head atop.Aromas of a chocolate malt, chocolate syrup and vanilla makes for an inviting although quite sweet.Flavors of milk chocolate and caramel with a bit of vanilla wafer,a slight bit of roast come thru giving a slight coffee effect.A dessert beer to be sure,I liked it but couldn't drink a full pint due to sweetness.
