A - Pours a hazy pale golden color, white head fades quickly to a wisp, and fine line lacing speckles the glass.

S - Funky, dank hop notes, a bit of grapefruit and zest. Not particularly inviting.

T - Decent citrus open, a mild, quiet middle with tropical fruit and some pine and resin, and a pithy bitterness in the finish.

M - Brisk carbonation, expected light weight, and a clean dry close.

O - Decent for a low ABV NEIPA, but the chase to lower the alcohol does come at a price. The result is not as silky smooth as the style would suggest could be expected, but that doesn't make it a bad beer, just not completely satisfying.

Taking a high road with a low beer isn't always the easiest way to draw in beer lovers, but Old Nation Brewing sees the need for low gravity IPA, hazy in nature and devises a taste that's out of this world.

Reasonably hazy and topped off with a fluffy white froth, Low Orbit hits the nose with a punch of vivacious citrus and tropical fruits and pungent herbs. As its dry cereal sweetness greets the palate, a sense of honeysuckle and wafers.

As the fruit flavors rise along the middle palate, the character of under ripened orange, pink grapefruit, mango, pineapple, passionfruit and melon all play a part in the hop's fruit medley before the session develops a crisp and lean bitterness to balance the cereal and fruit. Suggestions of spruce, chive, cannabis and bitter fruit peels carry the taste deep into the late palate.

Medium-light in body, the ale trends dry, crisp and mostly refreshing with an off-clean linger of dankness, earth and geranium.

I am trying a can of this beer at my BRAH-in-law 's house whilst there for Thanksgiving. It poured a hazy yellow with thin white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had bright tropical fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright tropical citrus fruit presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

1 PINT can
Served in an imperial nonic pint glass

This beer pours a light yellow hue and is turbid. It is topped with a couple inches of eggshell head that leaves spotty lacing.

Dank and tropical aroma with some melon

Citrus and tropical fruit flavor. Kinda dank. Hints of melon

Medium bodied with a biting mouthfeel

Solid, session beer

Pretty decent tropical flavors as well as dank resin. Hazy appearance with white foam. Feel is crisp but mouth coating. Overall very good for a “session NEIPA”.
