Built on a traditional malt-forward foundation, Sunstead is brewed with Pilsner and Vienna malts and French Aramis hops for a smooth, balanced pour. With a soft body and lightly toasted, bready malt character, floral and gentle citrus notes from the hops lift the finish, creating a clean, approachable lager meant for easy drinking.

16 ounce can poured into a stout mug. Best by 8 something 26.
L -- Clear, deep gold with a white, sudsy, but lackluster head.
S -- Light doughy malts with herbal hops back.
T -- Doughy malts up front with peppery alcohol following. Finish is sweetish malts and peppery alcohol with a blend of herbal hops and alcohol in the aftertaste with a touch of lemon.
F -- Mouthfeel is soft to crisp with a chewy, medium body.
O -- I wasn't impressed with my first can of this new beer, but I think I tried it too cold. Warming it a little balances out the flavors more and it's not as harsh as the first sample. Maybe still not as smooth as other Maibocks I like, but this is a nice start to the season!
