16oz can from Tavour. Hazy yellow, golden pour, small soft white head. Light fruity aroma with bready notes. Taste also offers some french bread quality, with a light accent of citrus and faint tropical.

Bought from Tavour as part of my last shipment and, in fact, is my last can in that last shipment. (I'm not mad at Tavour, it's just that it served its purpose of bringing brewers new to me during the pandemic. And Tavour does have a heavy slant to styles less my style, such as IPAs. So, adieu.)
Waking Dream starts like it is going to be a winning NEIPA (and nearly finishes that way also... and probably should be reclassified.) WD Looks full of hazy fluffiness. WD Smells like a tropical fruit concoction. Only mid-palate do the bitter hops take over, and then they never let go of my buds. I enjoyed this NEIPA after tennis; but I'm also not going to finish Waking Dream... the sediment scares me.
As for my micro-micro review... Casita has pretty good pedigree contracting with Farmstead in 2015. More recently opening their taproom in rural NC, that area can use brewing cultural uplift. I hope Casita succeeds. They have all the right buttons pushed, let's hope it is just a matter of time.

L: A yellow and peach haze with three fingers of yellow-tinged ivory head. Decent retention and lace.
S: Sweet peaches and oranges.
T: Follows the nose with a heavy presence of those old school candy orange wedges. Awesome.
F: A little muddled, but not overbearing.
O: I really liked this one and hope very much to have it again!

Hazy orange juice body, white head. Orange brings its friends of mango, lemon, pineapple, melon and piney hops in the smell. Taste starts with the juiciness, but not as complex, orange dominates more, hops are more resinous than anything though piney second. Feel is juicy but very mild, almost sweet, hops shine through but not too powerfully. Solid debut

Drinking this at The Casita Brewery in Downtown Wilson NC.
Poured from a tap into a pint glass.
Appears Hazy orange with a nice white foamy head that dropped to a thin cap with nice lacing.
Smells lightly bready, citrusy, vanilla.
Taste follows the nose.
Mouth feel is medium plus for the style, the lactose makes for a nice creamy feel.
Overall a very nice IPA that I would definitely order again.

16 ounce can, dated 11/27/18. Poured into tulip glass. Pours a deep golden yellow with a finger and a half of white head. The body is opaque but not hazy. Curtains of heavy lacing upon the glass.
Aromas of oranges, orange oil, lemon peel, mango on the back end.
The taste follows the nose. Oranges, mandarin orange, soft melon, tropical fruits. Light crackery malts.
Creamy mouthfeel, soft and pillowy. The lactose works wonders here without being too sweet.
Easy drinking, balanced and a great breakfast beer. Easily one I’d buy regularly if available.

A: Pours a hazy medium to dark golden honey in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising quickly along the edges of the glass and moderate copper + burnt orange + golden yellow + bright yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy off-white head that slowly reduces to a medium sized patch of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy citrus/orange, citrus/orange zest, tropical/mango, tropical/papaya, and dank pine/resin hops over the top of moderate aromas of pale + biscuit malts with moderate amounts of lactose sweetness.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of pale + biscuit malts with moderate amounts of lactose sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of juicy citrus/orange, citrus/orange zest, tropical/mango, tropical/papaya, and dank pine/resin hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades quickly leaving lingering citrus + tropical + dank hop flavors.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Soft/fluffy mid-body with a hint of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. Enjoyable with a really pleasant hop combination complemented by the orange zest and lactose. Definitely one that I would get again.
