An Extra Special Bitter. Not overly bitter, but well balanced with malt sweetness. Makes the perfect Black n Tan with our Nitro!

Served on tap into a snifter glass at the Salt Springs Brewery in Saline, Michigan.
A: Pours a hazy, ruby-amber color with a less than one finger, off white head, rim retention, but some camo-like rings of lacing.
S: Surprisingly tangy with aromas of caramel, cherry, and red berries. Nutty and a little earthy.
T: Semidry and again surprisingly tart. Flavor pallet very fruity and nutty like the nose nose. Thought I detected some lactate. Light bitterness provided solid balance.
M: Medium bodied with moderate effervescence.
O: I didn't really see this as an ESB. Honestly, I thought it resembled a Belgian Pale more than anything. That said, it was different and enjoyable.
