Poured from an undated 12 oz. can: slightly hazy, almost dirty, pale golden to yellow.
Very solidly malty sweet with no hop discernible.
This is extremely odd for a kolsh style ale with a sweet, almost butterscotch like flavor; it does exhibit the crisp, dry and refreshing qualities I expect from the style. Upon reviewing the description of the beer on the brewery's website. This product is described as a "rice-style lager" made with a kolsh yeast. Perhaps the rice imparts that "off" flavor or perhaps the beer is old.
It is drinkable but not at all what I was expecting.
