When it comes to the two downtown Bar Hops, I've had better drinking and dining experiences at the King Street location and enjoy the atmosphere a bit more as well. But a major drawback is that it can be difficult to get a seat at King since the place is always packed.
Brewco. presents an alternative as it's usually easier to find a table and/or seat at the bar and in the summertime the upstairs patio is a nice spot to have a drink. I find the tap list a bit more interesting at King, but the Brewco. lineup is always solid. They've also hosted some great events here, like the Founders Canadian Breakfast Stout launch.
Food is comparable to the other locations, though the service lags a bit in comparison. That said, Brewco. is a decent alternative to the original Bar Hop and is worth a stop if you happen to be in the area.

Hit this place to end my night, and I am so glad I did. It is great. The barstaff are friendly and smart. The vibe is fun. the music is popping. I had such a blast. The bartender walked me through a bunch of tasters and sampler to try some Canadian and Ontario beers. We then opened up some rare bottles. It was a great night

massive three-floor space that's all about the rooftop patio! stellar tap list showcasing many ontario beers, just like the original king st. location. they had cold brew coffee on tap when i went, which is a plus

Major league environment to enjoy beer, combining all the best aspects of the original little bar (lots of taps of absolutely fresh beer in many styles, aficionados, controlled music environment, nice tables, great service). When the patio opens, this will be world class.

This is a great little place. Similar to the original Bar Hop (and not to far away either) in terms of beer selection with about 30 rotating craft taps. The atmosphere is a lot different though. A touch smaller (on the main floor) with a better layout and the most noticeable thing to me is that it has a little more light than the original location, which I find to be too dark. Cool vibe and great selection.
