A marquee release for American Craft Beer Week, we're excited to share a new recipe inspired by brewing brethren from Virginia capital to Virginia capital. Join us on Wednesday, May 17th starting at 4 pm for the draft debut + can release of a collaboration with Stone Brewing Richmond!
Citra Hop Honey Drop is a Double India Pale Ale brewed with Citra hops, Lemondrop hops, and Virginia Wildflower honey (provided by Silver Hand Meadery).
Call us arrogant but we're thinking this is going to be a collab well worth the trek along the Virginia Capital Trail.
Grain Bill: Floor Malted Pilsner and Wheat.
Hops: Chinook, Citra, and Lemondrop.
Adjuncts: Virginia wildflower honey.

16 oz can dated 5/12/17 via trade. Poured into Teku glass.
L: Aggressive pour results in 3F white foamy head with good retention. Patches of white lacing and a cap and ring. Beer is a very attractive gold/bronze.
S: Very nice tangerine and pineapple notes along with unmistakable honey coming in the middle. Light malts. This reminds me of Hopslam in its glory days. Will the taste live up to the promise?
T: Not really. You get a lot of lemongrass and much fainter pineapple and citrus. Honey is also very restrained, which is good as you don't want it too sweet. Light malts. It's still quite good.
F: Medium bodied, light to medium carbonation. Construction and balance are quite good. A good summer drink even at this ABV.
O: A very nice IPA with some of my favorite components.
